Emma Armstrong

Emma has been part of the Therapy and Learning Centre community for 21 years and stepped into the role of Director in 2016. She is deeply passionate about supporting children and families to do life more easily and is proud to lead a practice that partners not only with families, but also with teachers, early childhood educators, and other health professionals to help children thrive within their everyday environments.

Emma values the strong, lasting relationships built across the community and considers it a privilege to work alongside those who support children - at home, in the classroom and beyond. She believes meaningful progress happens when everyone around the child feels confident, informed, and connected. 

 

As a physiotherapist, Emma has a special interest in foot alignment and biomechanics, helping children move efficiently, confidently, and comfortably in daily activities and sport. As Director, she is focused on ensuring TLC delivers high-quality, evidence-based care while maintaining the warmth and collaborative spirit the clinic is known for. 

 

Outside of TLC, Emma leads an active and full life. She enjoys running, cycling, swimming, sailing, and competing in triathlons, as well as playing music, gardening, spending time with her children and being involved in her church community.
